How Does Shield Damage Work?
When you take damage and your shield is active, the damage is split between your shield and HP. The mitigation (damage reduction) determines what percentage of damage is absorbed by the shield. The rest goes directly to your HP.

Example 1: Light Shield
Incoming Damage:100
Shield Mitigation:40%
→ Shield absorbs:40 Damage
→ HP Loss:60 HP
Shield: -40 | HP: -60
Example 2: Medium Shield
Incoming Damage:100
Shield Mitigation:42.5%
→ Shield absorbs:42.5 Damage
→ HP Loss:57.5 HP
Shield: -42.5 | HP: -57.5
Example 3: Heavy Shield
Incoming Damage:100
Shield Mitigation:52.5%
→ Shield absorbs:52.5 Damage
→ HP Loss:47.5 HP
Shield: -52.5 | HP: -47.5
